The aging of
America is creating a continuing need for well-trained medical
professionals. As a result, nursing takes on even more prominence as a
profession for both men and women.
After two years of study and supervised practice in area hospitals and other health agencies, you can earn the nursing degree and become eligible to take the examination for licensure as a Registered Nurse (R.N.)
Students can now enroll in the nursing program Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
Be prepared. This is a rigorous program. In fact many students take three years to complete the degree, finishing all core curriculum courses before taking the nursing classes.
To get even more of a nursing background, you may want to enroll in the nursing transfer program and prepare yourself for a bachelor’s degree in nursing. If so, most of your two years at ABAC will involve classes in the core curriculum, allowing you to transfer to a senior college or university without loss of credit.
Nursing can be one of the most rewarding professions in the world. That’s why it continues to be one of the most popular majors at our college.
